Applied Behavior Analysis Certificate Program - San Diego

The California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant offers a five course series in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc. (BACB) has approved this course sequence as meeting the coursework requirements for eligibility to take the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Examination. BCBA Examination applicants will have to meet additional requirements to qualify for board certification.

 

CSPP at Alliant is also offering a 1500 hour supervised practicum to meet the experience requirements set forth by the BACB to become board certified. The practicum will consist of hands-on ABA with children with developmental disabilities, primarily Autism. All practicum hours will be supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, where case issues and intervention strategies will be discussed.

Requirements: 15 units

This certificate program consists of the five courses listed below. It may be added to the master’s and doctoral programs.

  • ABA 6525  Introduction to Learning Theory and Behavior Analysis (3 units)
  • ABA 6535  Methods in Applied Behavior Analysis (3 units)
  • ABA 6545  Behavioral Assessment, Intervention Strategies, and Ethics in ABA (3 units)
  • ABA 6555  Behavior Change Procedures and Systems Support (3 units)
  • ABA 7504 Childhood Disorders and ABA Interventions (3 units)
