International Language Education and Cultural Center

The International Language Education and Cultural Center (ILEC) offers training in English, Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Farsi, and more.

The ILEC Center at Alliant International University offers general and custom English and foreign language instruction to individuals or groups in a variety of languages, including Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Indonesian, Malay, and Russian. Program development is available in any foreign language.  

ILEC language programs are created to meet the needs of persons traveling to or working in an international environment, as well as for those who interact with international contacts. In both our corporate program and language training program, the curriculum is tailored to meet the specific needs of each group or participant, and incorporates relevant content according to each client’s specific communication goals.  Each ILEC foreign language course is taught by a trained, qualified native speaker.  Because having the cultural skill is as important as acquiring the technical knowledge of speaking another language, ILEC instructors deliver both cultural and language skills.  

Language Programs

The Center now offers two language programs: the Corporate Language Program and the Language Training Program. These programs are designed to be flexible and convenient.

Why will ILEC’s Corporate Language Program work for your business? Developing the language and cultural skill set of your executives and staff will contribute to business development. With a minimum number of students, we can take the classroom to your site, or the class can be held on Alliant’s San Diego or Fresno campuses. Our knowledgeable faculty will work with you to custom design a course that meets your specific communication goals, operating on your timetable at an affordable price. Choose from intensive, short-term scheduling or gradual, long-term programs. Classes can be held any time of the day — or day of the week.  The choice is yours.

Language Training Program

Offered at both our San Diego and Fresno campuses, the Language Training Program provides language training to those who wish to learn another language or refresh existing language skills. ILEC’s communicative methods and trained instructors provide students with a working knowledge of their language of choice. To allow for working students’ schedules, classes are offered evenings and weekends. In just eight weeks, you’ll be on your way to speaking another language!
